Winter Classic Time!!!

Happy New Year everyone.Now that is out of the way..Let's move on from all the holiday garbage,And get back to what matters..Sports!!!!

The Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals are set to go at it once again..Only this time the game will be played on the ice at Heinz Field ..

Jordan Staal will play tonight,Staal makes his 2010/2011 debut after having surgery on his foot,And then suffering a hand injury during his rehab..Look for Staal to make a difference in the later part of this game..

Think there is no love loss in this rivalry? Then read this quote from Capitals Head Coach Bruce Boudreau..


They don't like us, so why should we like them?" Boudreau said. "Wasn't it (Maxime) Talbot who said over the summer that he didn't like (Alex) Ovechkin? Well, so why can't we say we don't like Talbot? I didn't like him when he was in (AHL) Wilkes-Barre, and I don't like him in Pittsburgh. I for 1 am excited about this game.. The lights at Heinz Field ,,Both teams fans going wild.,Hard hitting play!!. Yes I follow the Pens close.. But this should be a classic brawl.. Both teams are somewhat healthy.. And this is a regular season game, So points are there.. I know this isn't a in depth preview of the game, I just wanted to touch on a few items before game time.. 8PM NBC..Will you be watching? Final score.. Pens 5..Crapitals  4.. Pens/Caps

Christmas has came early this year for the NHL.They get Crosby,Malkin,Ovechkin all in 1 series.Washington does lead the season series 3-1,But The Pens have won the last 6 ,Count them 6 of 7 playoff meetings!

Of course this game will be hard hitting,Ask Alex Ovechkin.



And there are pretty good odds this could be a shoot out



Malkin,And Ovechkin are both finalists nominated for the Hart Trophy(The NHL MVP)

Malkin won the regular season scoring title with 113 points,Ovechkin was 3 points behind in second place.

And then there is in what my mind is the wild card.Sidney Crosby,If Sid plays like the superstar he is,And not a china doll taking falls..This could be one of the best Series in a long time.
I am going to stay with what i predicted on Facebook,Pens in 6. If the Caps had to go 7 games with a far less Superior team like the Rangers,What are they going to do against a team that by all rights should have wrapped up their series in 4 or 5 games?
