Sorry for the delay in bringing you another quality post,Been a slow few days news wise and i think I've been sleeping half the time lol..The Pittsburgh Pirates losing streak is now at 3 games,And counting.Today's 3-2 loss against the Chicago Cubs had 1 bright spot,Nate Mclouth extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a wind aided shot.Ian Snell pitched 6 inings for the Bucs, Giving up 3 runs on 9 hits.Adam LaRoche kept his annual spring swoon up, going 0-3,Now batting a robust .163!Same 2 teams back at it tomorrow afternoon. The Pittsburgh Penguins completed the sweep of the Ottawa Senators on Wed night with a 3-1 victory. The Pens now wait to see who they will be facing in the next round.I have to wonder if the Ottawa Senators will rethink that mural they installed this past season?Steve Mcnair has retired after 13 seasons,Joining his body that called it quits about 4 seasons ago,Guessing the Baltimore Ravens will have to go with Kyle Boller,Or Troy Smith.Neither of these is probably giving the 6 fans in Baltimore alot of hope.In other AFC North news, Looks like WR Chad Johnson won't be attending offseason workouts,Or mini camps. Just another crybaby wanting his way, And hopefully he gets his wish to be traded,To the Washington Redskins. How great would it be for him to go to WR hell?No QB to throw you the ball,But you'll get paid. The Cleveland Browns having more problems with staph infections,The most recent to encounter a staph infection after surgery at The Cleveland Clinic is wide receiver Joe Jurevicius. Fortunately for the Browns and Jurevicius, his condition does not appear as serious as those that have affected several of his teammates.
The infection appears under control and will not prevent Jurevicius from participating in the organized team activities beginning next month or veteran minicamp in June. As long as those events go well, Jurevicius should be fine for training camp.
