Zach Duke took the hill Sunday,Trying to stop the bleeding in a series that has seen the Bucs lose all 3 games they have played since the break.Things looked great early on,The Pirates got a rare 3 run lead in the 1ST inning,And Duke pitched 3 perfect innings,And that was the highlights for that game.The Rockies would score 9 runs off Duke in about 3 innings,And the Pirates annual All Star skid is at 4 and counting.
The Washington Redskins traded for Jason Taylor Sunday after losing a starter on the Defensive line.The Skins gave up a reported 2ND,And 6TH round picks for Taylor,Who isn't sure if he'll play after this season.
A couple more Pirates notes,Pirates Notebook is saying teams are still talking about Jack Wilson.But that most talk is centered around Xavier Nady,And Damaso Marte. I really think now is the time to pull the trigger,And get as much as you can for ANY player on this team.As much as I like the Pirates,This team is going nowhere but down fast.Shawn has his take on the Bucs pitching as of late,And if I trust any one's opinion about baseball,It's Shawn.
