Pirates Pull Off Victory

The Pittsburgh Pirates had AA starter Yoslan Herrera on the hill tonight against the St Louis Cardinals,And they got what everyone thought they would get..Crushed!Herrera gave up 6 runs on 11 hits,Walking 4 and striking out 4.Gasoline Osoria would come in the game during the 4Th inning,And give up(gasp)no runs!The law firm of Beam,Burnett,And Yates would give up 4 more runs.The Pirates bats would only produce 3 runs through 6 innings.Jason Bay would hit a 2 run home run in the 1st,And Adam LaRoche who has been on fire as of late,Hit another solo shot in the 4Th.The Bucs would start a come back in the 7Th,A RBI single by Jose Bautista brought in Adam LaRoche.Jason Bay would hit his 2ND 2 run home run of the night in the 8Th to make it a 10-6 Cards lead.The Pirates came to bat in the 9Th down 10-6,Jason Michaels reached base on a walk by Cards closer Jason Isringhausen ,Jack Wilson would then hit a single to the 3rd base side setting up Nate McLouth's 3 run home run to bring the score to 10-9 Cards.Luis Rivas would get on base with a single,Ryan Doumit would the fly out to center.Jason Bay would then ground into a fielders choice to tie the game up at 10.Denny Bautista would come on in the 10Th,And his first batter faced Troy Glaus would drill a pitch to deep center to put the Red Birds up by 1.Normally I would say that is all the Pirates could do,But not this season.The Bucs would come to bat in the 10Th,A Chavez single to right then 2 fast outs brought Jason Michaels to the plate.Michaels drilled a Chris Perez pitch to deep center.Final score 12-10 Buccos.I wish i could have saw this game,But Antietam Cable does not carry Fox Sports Pittsburgh in their lineup.I'll be back later to talk about the Hagerstown Suns game(s) I went to this week.Photo Credit-Yahoo Sports
