If you had to pick a game in the final 2 weeks of the season to go to, Tuesday nights game in Frederick was probably a good choice. The Keys had Kyle Schmidt on the hill against Brian Holliday for the Lynchburg Hillcats.Schmidt had a bad start, Hitting the first 2 Cats he faced,Then a throwing error to home brought a run in for Lynchburg.
That was good enough for Lynchburg starter Brian Holliday,As he went 8 innings,Giving up 2 runs on 8 hits,Striking out 9.Lynchburg was up 4-2 going into the ninth,And RP Dustin Molleken came on to close it out for the Hillcats. Not so fast,Molleken walked 3 and gave up 2 runs in 1/3 of an innings work to let the Keys come back to tie it up at 4-4.
Lynchburg then called on Eric Krebbs to stop the bleeding,And he did just that.Causing a pop fly to right, Miles Durham had a great throw to get Todd Davidson out at the plat.
Lynchburg would answer back with a 1 out shot by Kent Sakamoto to make it a 5-4 game,Krebbs pitched the 10TH inning to pick up the win for Lynchburg.
Game Notes
Frederick had a pretty cool promotion,If you wore any football jersey to the game, You got 2 dollars off your ticket,And unlike the Suns,Frederick had a football themed night,With Chief Z of the Washington Redskins,And a bunch of fat asses from the Baltimore Ravens "club".The Chief was really cool,Walking around visiting fans.I'm sure the Ravens "fans" were to busy eating or something .
I would Like to say hello to a reader who actually walked up to me in Frederick,And said hello..I'm sure he'll read this post,And to answer your question,I'll be pissed when i write about in the next post,As there a few things that stood out from the second trip
