The Pittsburgh Steelers may not have played their best game of this 2008 season Sunday,But for the last 4 minutes of it they may have shown the heart of a team that will not give up under pressure!
With the Steelers down 9-6 with 3:36 to go in the ballgame,Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger drove the the Steelers down the field going 7/11 for 89 yards.The last 4 yard pass would be 1 of the most talked about TD passes in recent memory.
Yes,I am a Steeler fan,But I have watched this play over and over the last couple days,I know most of the readers to this site might not be Steeler fans,And that's fine.But do not try and say The Steelers would not have won this game if the call stands as it is called on the field.
If you watch the video closely, You will see the ball crosses the plane,Yes it's only for a brief second,But that's all you need to score in the NFL.
Ever since Sunday I have heard how Baltimore got screwed,And the refs wanted yet another Steeler win.Bullshit,It's the same old crying,And bitching that happened when Seattle lost in Super Bowl 40.Did 1 play cost the Seahawks in that game?The answer is the same as it was this past Sunday,NO!If the Baltimore defense doesn't give up the 85 yards prior to the TD pass, This subject is a non issue.
The Steelers now head to Tennessee to face the Titans,With the winner of this game probably getting home field throughout the playoffs.Pittsburgh already has gained at least a first round bye,And of course the AFC North Title!
