Catching Up
Yeah,I know it's been over a week since i last wrote anything..It's not like you were yelling at me for it,But I did want to clean out some of the stuff that's added up the last 7 days,
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pirates lose 3 out of 4,Rain saves the day for a sweep(For now).
Sadly the rain did not wash out the entire series!! Including a 17-2 drubbing which had a
wonderful 10 run inning. Not going to waste time talking about the shitty ball team at the moment,But I will be talking Pirates baseball coming soon!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steelers open pre-season the way the ended last season..
The Super Bowl Champion(I do like typing that!!) Steelers opened the pre season with a 20-10 win.Ben Roethlisberger played about 2 series,Going 4-6 for 33 yards.Dennis Dixon looked good in his real Steelers debut(He had 2 snaps in 08) Going 10- 19 for 112 yards.
But the real spotlight is on Isaac Redman,The undrafted rookie played very well in the 4TH quarter running for 32 yards on 10 carries and scoring 2 touchdowns. There is already talk that Frank(The Tank)Summers could be on the bubble to make the team,Or at least the practice squad. That's amazing if that happens considering all the hype the Steelers have thrown on Summers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a video that Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane put up on Twitter this afternoon,Anyone who watches the show will love the take on this classic scene!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Vick was signed by the Eagles last week,And this McNabb and Vick could play together
I'm betting Vick is the 1 who will be running routes,And whatever else.I can't see the Eagles risking McNabb to the defense even more then he is now.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "highly"anticipated lineup for the next season of Dancing With The "Stars" (Sort of) was released today. Singer/has been Donny Osmond and former Majority Leader Tom DeLay join Kelly Osbourne; former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin; models Kathy Ireland and Joanna Krupa; singers Macy Gray, Mya and Aaron Carter; actresses Melissa Joan Hart and Debi Mazar; Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin; ex-UFC fighter Chuck Liddell; snowboarder Louie Vito; and actors Mark Dacascos and Ashley Hamilton. Boy what a load of crap to avoid !!I'm sure I'll have 1 person who will watch this dredge and will gladly tell us who ends up"winning"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I finally was able to get to the Muni for a game on Sunday,And despite the fact that it was around 94 degrees it turned out to be a good afternoon for baseball..The hometown Suns won 4-1. The more things change,The more stay the same. The god awful announcing continues,Am I the only 1 who thinks either this guy is tone deaf,Or just is so untalented he doesn't even notice?
And of course who could forget the Sunsations? After watching their half ass attempt at dancing yet again,I can say I wish i could forget!!
Thanks to Shawn,Ryan and others in attendance,The game was overshadowed by our conversations and as always,A great time was had by all!
Tuesday we will make our longest road trip of the year,And head to State College to catch the Ny-Penn League All Star Game. I'm sure I'll have plenty to write about for a recap. And as any road trip goes with us,The ride to and from the game sometimes(OK always) seems to be the best part..
until next time..Please remember this 1 thing,Guys I don't care how hot it is out,Keep your fucking shirts on!!!!
