Welcome back my friends to the blog that never ends.. I would like to apologize for no picks last week,My computer was(Sill is)acting up and could check a few things,But nothing close to writing a blog!
Before we dive into the picks this week,I have to talk about the 800 gorilla in the room(No not Shaun Rodgers being hurt). There has been a lot of talk this week about guys playing hurt in the NFL.The Steelers used their third string QB Dennis Dixon After Large Ben,And Charlie Batch were injured in the cluster fuck known as the loss to the Chefs in week 11..
I've read alot of things this week about Hines Ward,And what was said to Bob(Mini me)Costas,Let's ask this question,How would you react to JUST finding out that your starter was not playing this week.Instead you had a guy who had thrown 1 pass in entire NFL career!!! And this is after assuming that your starter was going to play,Because all week he had practiced,And took the majority of the snaps..Ward was upset,And yeah maybe going on camera and expressing your frustration wasn't a great idea now that you look back on it. But Ward owned up to his mistake,And hopefully the team can move forward from here..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That being said,If you have checked the sports section at all in the last few days you see more and more players sitting out with injuries.
Just today we are hearing that Jamal Lewis of the Browns may sit out the rest of the season,And the same goes for Redskins RB Clinton Portis..But here's the question of the week,And I'm sure this is an easy 1.How many of you think the NFL said wait,We have BOTH QB's from the Super Bowl injured? What would happen if we let them play,And god forbid something major happened?
Think about that for a second,Would you want to be in charge of a league that a player gets brain damage,Or heaven forbid passed away from a head injury? And not just a hit during the game,But 1 that was sustained 1 week earlier?I don't know about you, But I know I would use threat of fines or suspensions if they did not sit!!!Am I coming off a bit too harsh? I don't think so(Scooter?).
There will be a new poll on the right side of the page tonight,Take a couple minutes,And vote..I'll talk more about the Head injury debate later. But now it's onto the Picks!!!

Oakland (3-8) At Pittsburgh(6-5) 1pm CBS
What can you say about this game?Well Large Ben WILL start(I know we heard this last week at this time).Coach Mike Tomlin says his team will not go into a shell. That December is Steeler football,Hey Mike,Isn't there 16 games in a season? Maybe you could have a second career?
What is there to say about the Raiders?Al Davis won't make the trip to the Burgh,It's a day game and most vampires only go to night games.. Final Score Oakland/LA/Oakland Wherever they move to next-14,Mighty McBeams 28.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dallas(8-3)At New York Giants(6-4) 4:15pm Fox
Well this pick will kill 2 birds with 1 stone!!! 1 of my long time readers isn't going to be happy,Final Score,Jerry's Kids 24-Andres 21.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Baltimore(6-5)At Green Bay(7-4) Around 8:30 pm or so..ESPN
Do you really think we'd pick Baltimore? Bitch please.. Final score,Ratbirds 16-Cheese heads 34!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patriots(7-4)At Miami(5-6)
In yet another game I really don't care who wins,But do hope Randy Moss gets like 3 td's and 180 yards receiving,Final Score Pats 42-Dolphs 38
