What A Weekend !

It was a great weekend for the Pittsburgh Sports teams,The Pirates swept a series,And the Pens have pulled ahead of Ottowa in their opening round series..
And...No Steelers were arrested,Or charged with any crimes...That we know of!!

Penguins take over series lead 2-1

After playing very lack luster hockey on Wed night,The Pens came out looking like a totally different team that left the ice at the Igloo on Wed..

The hits started early,And kept going the entire game..

Ask Jordan Leopold about the hard hits..



And it was NOT a dirty hit,I'm a Penguins fan,And after watching the replay you can see it was just a hard hit..Here's a condensed game recap,Watch some of the hits in this game,Both sides were ready for battle Friday night..






Ice Cubes..

2 of the best saves on goal were not done by Marc Andre Fluery,Actually they were done by Brooks Orpik,And Sidney Crosby.

No word as of yet if Leopold will be back at all this series,The betting man would probably say no way with his history of head injuries..

Game 4 is set for Tuesday night,Puck drops at 7:00PM.

Pirates sweep the Reds.. 2 games over .500

That is not a typo,The Pirates have somehow managed to stay 2 games over .500..

I'll try and do a more in depth look later today at the Bucs,I'm just glad to see them doing ...Good...

Limas Sweed returns to practice with team..

Sweed has been on non injury related reserve since the end of last season..

The Steelers released this Statement for Sweed..I guess they didn't think he could hold on to it?

"I am excited to be back on the field and back in the locker room with my teammates," Sweed said in a statement issued through the ballclub before practice today. "I appreciate all the support I received from the Steelers organization while I dealt with some personal issues at the end of the 2009 season. I have been working diligently and I am focused on the remainder of the offseason in getting myself prepared to have a great 2010 season."
