Pirates Swing Free.

Stephen Strasburg made his Major League debut tonight for the Washington Nationals,And of course only 1 team could make Mr Strasburg look like the next coming of Roy Hobbes,Cy Young,And Cool Papa Bell..Yes,That would YOUR Pittsburgh Pirates!!!!

How hyped was this game? The MLB Network had Bob Costas..Who normally does not even work baseball until the playoffs,Was in the booth.. And according to the Nationals,They had everything from the bases,To the dirt,Yes the dirt authenticated for auction!! Not only the pitchers mound dirt,It also included the bases,The pitching rubber,The baseballs,,And I'm sure his entire uniform!


Was Strasburg good?Yes..But the Pirates did not help them selves,They helped Strasburg ring up 14 strike outs ..

Delwyn Young drove a shot into the stands(Which some dumbass Nationals fan tossed back) to give the Bucs a 2-1 lead..And that was pretty much all the offense the Pirates had on this night...The Pirates dropped this"game"to the Nationals 5-2...

The Pirates called up Starting Pitcher Brad Lincoln,And outfielder Jose Tabata..

Listened to some Pittsburgh sports radio before the game tonight,And GM Neal Huntington said that Pedro Alvarez's arrival in Pittsburgh is "very close"Well that's great Neal,But why call up Tabata? Is this another"plan"to motivate?
