The part wanting to won out, It usually does..
The horrific events in Newton Ct last Friday have affected almost everyone in some form or another, I understand parents are more emotional when a tragedy like this evolves..
But as we see more and more shocking things like this emerge week after week, You have to ask where will it stop..
Most of these nut jobs that do things like this usually are guys who are pissed off about some injustice in their life, So they take it out on the people who they "perceived"to cause said injustice.
But sadly that line was crossed last week.. I am not going top mention his name in this blog, If you really need to know it, Go look it up.. I am not giving him 1 more second then he deserves!
I have heard people trying to mach this up with the Columbine tragedy.No, That involved students who went to that school.. This horrible crime has nothing to with school.
I read an article that I thought actor Morgan Freeman wrote,But have now found out it wasn't him at all.Whoever wrote it, Was dead on about the media coverage in situations like this.
Why do I need to know details of a crime so shocking it makes the President tear up? How dare you the media ask the medical examiner how many times these children were shot!!
What do you get out of that for your precious story?What you get from me is I will not watch any news from you ever again! How dare you try and make this "something people want to know about"
Who is telling you they want grizzly details? I know I could ask 10 of my friends, And all 10 would say that is sick, Why would anyone want to know such horrible things?
And for all of you"You can't have my gun assholes",Maybe you need a rifle to hunt..But I urge anyone who thinks they are a hunter to reason with me why you need a AK 47 to kill Bambi!
The second amendment is as follows,
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed
So when it was passed in 1791..We had no weapons that could cause such harm,Only had crude rifles, and muzzle loaders.. I am all for a person to bear arms.
. Maybe we go back to 1791,And give you a nice powder gun.. You know , You put the shot in,The the powder,Pack it down real good. Takes a few seconds to get each shot off..
I am sick and tired of hearing"Obama is going to take our weapons"... Hey Cletus, If he was"Going to take your weapons" I think it would have already happened..So stop saying you have to stockpile missile launchers to protect yourself!
I know times change, When I was in school we never had armed guards,Or building locked down. You could go into a school anytime from the start of day on.And we never had incidents like this.
You want to know why we never had problems like this? We did not have machine guns available for sale at a flea market.You had rifles and hand guns, That was about it...This goes beyond guns, This also has to deal with mental health of the people who carry weapons.
I think everyone should write to congress, And or the President let them know we need a bill that makes it mandatory for ANY gun purchase to be finalized,You must undergo a mandatory mental evaluation.
Or better yet,Stop the sale of ALL machine guns to private citizens! Also make the gun makers/sellers liable. If your AK is used in a mass shooting, And it is found that you sold it to Cletus Bohunk,Then you face the penalties! But this will never happen,The NRA will say this is an attempt to limit our second amendment right to bear arms.. No sir,It is not..
Maybe if weapons like this were not so easily available we would not need to have discussions like this.
And maybe,Just maybe we would not have to make videos like the one below...
These are MY words,I needed to speak my mind... This is another freedom we have, The freedom of speech.....
