The first stop on the baseball scouting tour of 2008 took Ryan, and myself to Commerce Bank Park,Home of the Harrisburg Senators. After a very long detour(Accident on 81,and the resulting 15 or so mile backup)We arrived at City Island,A very nice layout of park area, riverside walk, and of course home to The Nationals AA ball club. The reason for the early season trip,Senators workout night, which included free hot dogs, and soda, plus getting to watch batting practice, and pitchers work out.Sadly Hagerstown does not do this for their fans, Why i have no clue. But the fans of Harrisburg seemed to enjoy the 75 degree late afternoon/early evening. No rosters were available at the time of our trip, But former Sun Justin Maxwell is among the future Nationals playing in Harrisburg. We will try and keep track of a few former Suns as they move up the ladder. And before i forget,The Senators will have a new ballpark to open the 2009 season,Here's hoping the word on the street is correct, and the Hagerstown Suns may also have a new stadium in the next few years..
