Pens Put Sweep On Ice

The Pittsburgh Penguins went for the sweep on Thursday night in New York,Things didn't work out as planned,As the Rangers skated to a 3-0 win.The series is now 3-1 Pens,With the shot to finish the series at home in the Igloo on Sunday,Puck drops at 2:00 pm.The Pittsburgh Pirates have now played 2 games in Washington,Losing on Thursday night by a score of 3-2,And then winning Friday night by a lopsided 11-4.Phil Dumatrait started his first game of 2008,After coming out of the bullpen due to Matt Morris being released.Dumatrait held the Nationals hit less,And scoreless for 4 innings,Then a bank of lights went out on the 1st base side of Nationals Park,Resulting in a 25 minute delay.It was clear Dumatrait may have lost alittle after the delay,Giving up 4 runs in the 4th,Finishing up with 4 runs,On 6 hits,4 K's and one walk.The star of the game was Jose Bautista,Who had 2 Hr's,And 4 rbi's.Every Pirate starter except Freddy Sanchez had at least 1 hit,Nate Mclouth went 3-3.Same 2 teams go at it again this afternoon,Paul Maholm going up against Matt Chico.I'll be back later today with results from the game,And a few other things Video Playback Page.Courtesy MLB.com
