Tim Russert 1950-2008

Tim Russert,The host of NBC's Meet The Press,And Washington bureau chief passed away after collapsing at the NBC studios in Washington DC on Friday afternoon,He was 58.According to reports,He collapsed while doing voice overs for his Sunday morning landmark,Meet The Press. Russert’s physician, Michael Newman, said cholesterol plaque ruptured in an artery, causing sudden coronary thrombosis. I have watched Meet The Press a few times on Sunday mornings,And was never bored with topics,Or interviews he conducted.I'm not the most political person in the world,But tried to keep up with the 2008 campaign.Watching Russert was enjoyable in days where loud mouths like Bill O'Reilly,And Comedian Rush Limbaugh rule the air.Russert was probably as close to objective as anyone you would watch on tv,Or listen to on the radio as far as politics goes.Countdown with Keith Olbermann has a few Tim Russert videos on his site,Most reflect on Olberman's reaction,And also co workers talk about the loss.I don't know what else to say,I have never been good at the whole looking back thing,Maybe I'll remember Russert on election night 2000,With that dry eraser board,Writing Florida,Florida,Florida. Tomorrow is Fathers Day,It's been 20 years since my own father passed away,Also close to Fathers Day,But not 2 days before. My prayers are with his son Luke.Who now goes on with his life without his biggest supporter,But I'm sure his dad will be watching over him.Be back later with a less somber post
