Slow Sports Saturday

Since I started the blog almost a year ago,I have not had to endure a off season of football.Usually I have a ton of baseball,And hockey,Plus football.But since the Super Bowl win by the Steelers,Not much about sports has been talked about here.


Today we will change that.

Bucs win again in spring training,Raising record to 7-3.Yeah,I know it's just spring training,But hope for a winning ball club is high every preseason.Andy LaRoche is leading the team with a .538 average,Let me say that again,Andy LaRoche has a .583 average.Sure it's just 10 games,But this is a hell of alot better then any of his 10 games since he came to the Burgh after the Jason Bay trade.

Another part of that trade,Brandon Moss,Injured his thumb attempting to make a catch in today's game,His status in uncertain.

This marks the first time in over a decade that a team has beaten the #1 team twice in a season.And the way these teams have dropped the #1 spot,Let's hope Pittsburgh can get through the week as the top team!

Penguins streak at 5,Takes on Washington Sunday 3Pm


All but left for dead less then a month ago,The Penguins have found life once again,Yes if the season ended today,They would be the #8 seed.But at least it's a playoff seed right?

Nate Washington has 27 million reasons to leave the Burgh.

Nate signed a deal with the Tennessee Titans last week.Washington was a good WR,But 27 million for a guy who was the #3 wr? Antwan Randel El signed pretty much the same deal after Super Bowl 40,And I'm sure the money is good.But wouldn't you rather play for a team that has every shot to win year in and year out?
