Draft Recap/This And That

The 2009 NFL draft kicked off at 4pm this year,And still took almost 4 hours to complete the first round.

The first pick was already signed by the time the Detroit Lions were on the clock.Matt Stafford,QB from Georgia.

After that,Things did not go as most"experts"thought they would.The Cleveland Browns traded out of the top 10,Letting QB Mark Sanchez,And WR Michael Crabtree slide away.
Finally picking C Alex Mark.

The Jets(trading 3 players,And picks)Moved up to the number 5 slot,And wasted no time in picking Sanchez.

Worst move of the draft?That would go to the Oakland Raiders,By drafting Darrius Heywood-Bey with the seventh pick..Michael Crabtree was sitting there gift wrapped,And they decide to go with someone who ran the fastest 40 at the combine.
Just because you are really fast,Doesn't mean you will catch passes,Ask Nate Washington!

The World Champion Steelers(Damn I love saying that)Picked up DT Evander Hood.Here
- Evander Hood Is more backround on Hood.When he starts making sacks, I hope someone says the QB just became a Hood ornament!

The Pens came back from a 3-0 hole to put 5 unanswered goals on Philly,Winning the series 4-2! Pens now await their next vict-I mean opponent for round 2.Hope to do more about the game,And the series later on.

Steelers sign Ward to 4 year extension
I'm very happy to see this,What it means is Ward will finish his Hall of Fame worthy career with the Black and Gold!
