Well I didn't expect it to take damn near 2 weeks to write again...But here we are!
The Bucs have made a trade this afternoon sending 1B Adam LaRoche to the Red Sox on Wednesday.
To get LaRoche, Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein dealt two prospects,SS Argenis Diaz and, RHP Hunter Strickland to the Pirates. Diaz is expected to play in AAA Indianapolis right away,And Strickland will join the West Virginia Power.Here is Diaz's profile,Argenis Diaz |

What does this mean for the Pirates?Well it drops at least some of the $7.5 million due to LaRoche this year,But it also makes room for Lastings Millidge,And Steve Pearce to join the big league club from AAA Indianapolis.
Pearce has had MANY shots with the Bucs,But it's hard to judge a player when he gets maybe 14 at bats during a 3 week stretch!!
Millidge is now given his 3rd shot with a Major League club(sort of)Let's hope he makes the most of this chance!
On the field,The Bucs played home run derby off starter Jeff Suppan,Connecting for 4 long balls in Suppan's 3 and 1/3 innings.But the Brewers fought back and scored 5 in the 5Th inning,That chased Pirate starter Paul Maholm,Who gave up 7 runs in 4 2/3
innings.
