Happy Memorial Day.

Every year,No matter what I am doing,I take a few minutes and try and salute the fighting men,And women  who have defended our country..


Memorial Day is not about sales,Or pool parties..It's not about cookouts or baseball games..

At least that's not the real reason..

It's a time to thank,And remember our fallen troops who have defended our country for 234 years.. And yes I know we have September 11 TH to reflect on the loss of life in the most horrific terror attack on The  United States ,But it is because of that horrible day we now have brave men and women serving in 2 wars(Why they are in Iraq is a story for another day).

And I know this isn't war related,But take a moment today and hope that the morons who are"trying"to stop the oil leak in the Gulf actually do get it stopped...After watching a report this morning on how the oil is affecting different types of wildlife,1 Can only hope this is resolved VERY soon!!!

And I hope at some point in your day,You stop and thank the men and women who fight for our freedom day in and day out.. As much as we love our cookouts and all summer activities,I'm sure our troops would love to be enjoying the same things right now!!
