Where to start.... As I am writing this the O's are beating the snot out of my beloved swash bucklers of the Tri rivers.... 10-0!!! And this is only in the top of the fifth inning!! And as always.. The player you never gave time to see how he could do,Has come back to rip you a new one... Steven Pearce was a Pirate,Drafted by them, Had a bit of time in the majors with them..
But injuries and well lack of playing time made him expendable... So he was released and found life with Baltimore.. Tonight Pearce is having a career game(I hate when people say that)..He has played in parts of 2 MLB seasons) He has 5 runs batted in through 5 innings.. But he was not as good as a player as Nate McClouth..Who the Bucs just released a couple weeks ago... Insert Head slap.....
Last night I,along with Shawn,His lovely wife Cherie,And their daughter Rachel made a road trip to Bowie to catch the Bay Sox take on the Portland Sea Dogs..OK..I lied.. We actually went down to get WWE Hall of Famer Brett The Hitman Hart's autograph..The trip itself..
Well uneventful until my gps decided to take a crapper JUST before where we actually needed to turn... No one noticed a sign .So we continued on as the gps said to.... Well after a few (like 6 maybe 8) side roads...It says we have reached our destination... WE WERE AT THE FUCKING BAY!!!And No,I do not mean close by... Like 30 yards from water!!!!!I have heard horror stories about people just driving into whatever because the gps said go this way.. Never believed them until yesterday... UGH!!
Never been to Prince Georges County Stadium..But Shawn had told me it was similar to Frederick,But add trees behind the wall and remove the interstate. And he was totally correct.. Not a bad looking stadium, Basically a larger version of Harry Grove..Thankfully we decided to wait to eat until after the game.Otherwise I doubt we would have gotten to see Brett..
The line after we were done reached from the left outfield plaza to almost first base at the other end ..Brett was really cool.. We had our stuff signed,Got a picture with him and said hello.. What made me laugh were grown men..Carrying plastic "spinner"belts... Now I understand people collect stuff trust me... But if you are going to have a autograph on something.. Is a 10 dollar plastic belt this guy never wore the right thing? I honestly have gone on more then I thought.. So much that I need to do yet another post.. So.. Until then.....
