Steering An Empty Ship

Leave it to the Pittsburgh Pirates to completely screw up what should have been a celebration of Steve Blass's 60 yearswith the Pirates, As a pitcher first, And then as a broadcaster  for the Bucs.

 But this day would be overshadowed by the firing of manager Clint Hurdle.
 Leave it to this ONCE fine organization to find yet another way to try and make it out to be all about them!!

 Why couldn't you wait till today?  Have Clint say his goodbyes in a press conference  And still give Steve his rightful spotlight..

I've been a Pirates fan for as long as I can remember, Hell I've lived through the coke fueled 80's that almost destroyed baseball in the Burgh..But Bob Nutting and his use of the Pirates as an ATM for his ski lodge is almost as bad!

First off, You fired the wrong guy..
Neal Huntington is the key to this team, Good or bad. And his track record of horrible trades is amazing..  Your team won 4 games.. 4 games out of 28 after the All star break.. You didn't see a point to try and stop the bleeding?   Hurdle was not the reason this team sucked AND blew..  You have to start at the top..

So now the Bucs will begin a search for a new skipper.. But don't expect names like Madden to be interviewed..  Oh no..  We'll be looking at guys who did... OK  in the minor leagues..At least they won't be out their talent pool..
