Put The Brooms Away

At least for a few days,The Pittsburgh Penguins dropped a 4-2 decision to the hated Flyers last night,Meaning game 5 will be in Pittsburgh on Sunday at the Igloo.Sadly i did not get to watch the game,But listened to a period and a half.This is the time of year the NHL should get their heads out of their asses,And have NBC doing games like this.Yes i understand NBC has it's finales to show,But how many people have Versus?Unless you have a sports package on Direct TV,Or Dish,Or in my case spend 10 bucks extra a month to see a couple games a week it's really not worth it after that.What kind of sports does Versus show?Golf,Tennis..Hockey in season.Being unemployed at the moment,As much as i would love to watch every step on the Pens way to the Cup doesn't make sense financially.OK enough complaining on my part!The Pittsburgh Pirates took 2 out of 3 games against the Cards,And by doing so have won a series in St Louis for the first time since 2003.The game that really stands out is Thursdays game.The Bucs were down 5-1 going into the 5Th,Scored 10 unanswered runs against the Red Birds with former closer Jason Isringhausen taking most of the heat.Jason Bay's 3 run home run in the 8Th would be the difference in this game.The Bucs added 3 more runs off Ron Villone,Who it seemed could not throw a strike if his life were in jeopardy.Bucs travel to Chicago for a series against the Cubs,First pitch is at 2:20pm.A few notes about the game,I watched the game at Shawn's house,As i usually do watch any Buccos games,We had both had long days for different reasons, And after the Bucs went ahead ,We were just hoping they would call this after the next Cards at bat in the 8Th due to rain.We were wrong..For what seemed to be an hour,Ron Villone just could not get a guy out.The Pirates gave him 3 outs, Of course after they had already done the damage.Not sure how many Steeler fans read this,But yet another Steeler propaganda film: Steeler Nation .And for you non Steeler fans- Sports Montage,This has pretty much every major sports star in the 20Th century.Very good video
