Well they continued until they got the hell out of Chicago,After Wednesday nights ass kicking by the White Sox,The Buccos stormed to a 6-0 lead in the 2ND inning on Thursday nights game against the White Sox on a Freddy Sanchez home run,And a Nate Mclouth bases loaded double to finish off the runs in the 2ND.That would not even be a lead for 20 minutes as starter Phil Dumatrait(More on that later)Gave up 6 runs in the White Sox's half of the inning to knot it up at 6.The Sox would score another run in the 3rd,Sanchez would add another rbi in the 4Th, .But Dumatrait couldn't hold that lead either, giving up runs in both the fifth and sixth. In all, Dumatrait stayed in to finish five innings. He'd be charged with 11 hits and nine runs, marking his worst start of the season in terms of both hits and runs allowed.Yes I have said that I thought he was alot better option then Matt Morris,But after the last 2 games,I'm not sure what to think of Dumatriat.Everyone can use the excuse of Interleauge play,That pitchers may face the teams 1 or 2 times a season. But isn't that what scouting is for?Aren't you supposed to advance scout a team, See what kind of pitches they hit more then others, Watch the opposing pitchers,From the looks of it, The Pirates have not done any kind of scouting to prepare for opposing teams! And this quote from Jack Wilson is probably even better then Ian Snell's quote from Tuesday.
"You can't put the fault too much on our guys," shortstop Jack Wilson said. "These [Chicago hitters] don't swing at balls, and they can hit. They outdid us this series." WOW..Really Jack? From the breaking news section,Sky still blue,Some day you will die. After the beat down series in which saw the Bucs get outscored 37-15,The Bucs came home to PNC Park to host the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night.Zach Duke pitched 7 strong innings in a no decision,The next Part of this game? The bullpen actually did NOT allow 1 run in 5 innings work last night! It took a Toronto error in the 12Th with the bases loaded with Pirates to score the winning run in a 1-0 Bucs victory. Toronto pitcher Roy Halladay took a shot off the right temple in the 7th inning,Thank god it was off the bat of Nyjer Morgan,So you know it couldn't have been hot too hard. Be back later with Bucs/Jays results.Pirates Photos-(AP Photo/Gene J. Puskar)
